“There is no exquisite beauty without some strangeness in the proportion”

Hello! Welcome back to my blog.
I hope your new year has been off to a great start and that you’ve been (sort of at least) sticking to your resolutions if you’ve made some. Things over here are good; I still have not started school so I am enjoying my last few days of freedom before I need to get back to the grind.
The holidays are over and I have just begun to accept that (I’m not crying there’s just something in my eye) but that doesn’t mean that ‘winter’ is. It is actually pretty warm where I am, but it’s fine. Cooler months call for monochromatic makeup looks, so allow me to share my most recent makeup look with you today.
I haven’t been wearing much make up lately, but on the days that I do, this is what I usually go for.
For my eyes I’ve been using the Naked Smoky Palette by Urban Decay, which I got for Christmas (thanks Santa you da real MVP) and which is also my favorite eye shadow palette at the moment. Trust me, it’s wonderful.
I usually use Dirty Sweet for my base color and Radar on my outer corners.
I then use the Nyx Cosmetics Vinyl Liquid Liner to do a winged liner. This eyeliner is incredibly easy to apply and lasts all. day. long. I know. As for mascara, I just apply two coats of the Maybelline Lash Stiletto Mascara both on my lower and upper lashes and, voila! Eyes are done.
I usually start out by prepping my face with the Mineral Infused Face Primer by e.l.f. Cosmetics in tone-adjusting green. Side note: if you don’t get anything else at e.l.f., get this. You won’t regret investing in this magical elixir.
I then apply the Revlon ColorStay foundation all over my face with my beauty blenderrr and dust my cheeks with the Bronze Goddess bronzer by Estée Lauder. Be careful with this one though. It has the potential to make a girl look like she just walked out of a spray tan appointment gone reeeeaaaal bad. We’re going for the bronzed goddess look ladies; not the US president. (What? Who said that?)
And finally, for my lips! I usually go over my entire lips with a lip liner and then apply whichever lipstick I am using right on top. The color looks bolder and it lasts longer! Lately I have been using the Smart Lip Pencil by Kiko Milano in Rouge Noir, and going over it with the Rouge Artist Natural lipstick by Make Up For Ever in Pink Brown.

And that’s it! My makeup is done. I hope you enjoyed this post and as always, thank you for reading.
Until next time,
