Let me start out by saying one thing: I really do try my best not to be ‘that’ girl, the #pumpkinpsycho, but I am. In my defense though, what’s not to love about October? There’s pumpkins, apple butter, warm cinnamon lattes, Halloween…oh …and
mid-terms. Crossing those out because we don’t need that kind of negativity right now. Let’s carry on.
In all seriousness, October has to be one of my favorite months just because it marks the beginning of the holiday season; once October rolls around, it’s only a matter of time before Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year get here.
As the year starts coming to a close, I am usually inspired to turn inward and become more reflective on the year past; at times, nostalgic. Sometimes I break out the warm drinks, turn up the acoustics, and get back on track with meditating or journaling. Other times, I simply feel festive and motivated to keep my goals for the year in check.
This emotional blend is both delicious and complex. To celebrate it, I decided to turn my room into my very own autumn haven. I am looking forward to many cozy nights and early mornings in here — this time of the year is magic. Enjoy!
